9th Let's Talk About IT: Critical Thinking & Networking in Practice
This event perfectly balanced deep subject matter with dynamic networking. The panel discussion on critical thinking provided me with many valuable perspectives on how to make better decisions in the IT world.
Among the expert discussions, three key thoughts resonated with me the most:
- The Courage to Articulate Your Opinion: Real professionalism is the ability to clearly communicate your arguments, even when they are unpopular,
- Trusting Your Own Experience: Amidst the information overload and endless expert advice, your own practical experience is often the most reliable compass you have,
- Questioning the Status Quo: By challenging established patterns, we can discover innovative solutions and avoid stagnation.
I fully identify with these values. This approach stays with me every day – I value proven solutions and others' experience, but I never stop asking: 'can we do this better?'.
A New Chapter in Networking
I arrived at this edition with a completely new mindset. I used my freshly prepared and tested 'elevator pitch,' which drastically improved the quality of my interactions. Greater openness and energy resulted in concrete, valuable conversations.
Meeting in person with people I already know from the web or previous editions is invaluable to me. Nothing beats the energy of a direct exchange of thoughts!
My network has expanded with more inspiring individuals – I'm glad the IT industry is so rich in diverse personalities.
I would like to thank the organizers and everyone I had the pleasure of talking with – for the openness, inspiring discussions, and the time spent together, which really recharged my batteries for the work ahead.
It was a fantastic evening. I returned with new energy, reminded of the fact that critical thinking is one of the most important competencies for an engineer today.
