Everyone is a Brand – Authentic Personal Branding Workshop

“Personal brand is not what you say about yourself. It's what others say about you when you leave the room.”

This and many other insightful thoughts accompanied me during a recent personal branding workshop.

Thanks to the workshop organized by the Let's Talk About IT team, I had the opportunity to participate in a small, exclusive 25-person session that completely reshaped my perspective on personal branding.

Key lessons I'm taking away:

  • Brand as Perception: I realized that a brand exists solely in the client's mind. Our task is not to 'impose' an image, but to intentionally shape authentic experiences that others will associate with our name,
  • Authenticity Above All: My knowledge regarding building an Authentic Personal Brand has reached a whole new level. I learned how to consistently combine technical skills with business communication.

It was a time filled with activity and concrete workshop exercises:

  • Analysis and Listening: A deep dive into brand psychology and trust-building mechanisms in the IT industry,
  • Relational Networking: Meeting inspiring people and exchanging perspectives on how we perceive each other in business,
  • Strategic Notes: Recording specific steps that I will implement in BJ Consulting's communications,
  • Flow and Energy: Combining intensive learning with a fantastic atmosphere that drives action.

It was an unconventional and incredibly valuable Friday evening. Combining technical expertise with hands-on practice and networking is, for me, one of the most effective ways to grow.

I’m walking away from these workshops with a clear conviction: personal branding is about much more than just a portfolio. It is my competitive edge that opens doors that code alone cannot always reach.

Building an intentional presence in the public sphere is an investment in how partners and clients perceive me – because in IT, who we are and how we act is just as important as what we can build.
