E-commerce: Integrating UI/UX with the WooCommerce Ecosystem
I recently completed a full redesign of my corporate website. It wasn't just a visual change – I created a new UI/UX from scratch and launched a fully functional online store, which required a deep dive into the WordPress and WooCommerce ecosystem.
This process resulted in solid, practical technical knowledge:
- Advanced Gutenberg: Full utilization of the native block editor to build unique page layouts without bloated page builders,
- Custom Code Snippets: Writing custom code fragments (PHP/JS) to modify system behavior where standard plugins fell short,
- WooCommerce Ecosystem: Comprehensive configuration of the e-commerce engine – from product management to checkout process optimization,
- Payment Systems: Full implementation and testing of the Przelewy24 gateway, with a focus on data security and transaction stability,
- Deep Customization: Modifying core elements and templates using WordPress filters and hooks. Understanding the file hierarchy allowed me to implement changes in areas that previously seemed 'closed' to modification.
This was a massive dose of knowledge acquired through 'learning-by-doing'. I found that WordPress, with the right engineering approach, is an extremely flexible tool for building professional business solutions.
I am pleased to have mastered these technologies at a level that allows me to freely deliver valuable sales tools.
These are new, valuable competencies in my stack. They allow me to offer clients an even wider range of services – from technical consulting to comprehensive e-commerce implementations.
My website is now not just a business card, but living proof that technology should primarily support the achievement of business goals.
