LinkedIn Local Warsaw – Fighting BOB and the Power of Networking

The March LinkedIn Local Warsaw meeting left me with plenty of positive energy.

These aren't just lectures – they are, above all, a space to confront your thoughts with reality.

The most important lesson of the evening? Fighting the BOB.

Who is BOB?

A question was asked during the meeting that really stuck with me: Who is your BOB?

In Polish, it's a play on words for our inner blockers: BECAUSE (BO)...

  • BECAUSE I don't have enough experience.
  • BECAUSE I talk too much.
  • BECAUSE I'll embarrass myself.

We all have our limitations, but it's worth countering them with: What if...?

  • What if: I meet someone special?
  • What if: Something truly valuable comes out of this?
  • The key question: What do I want to think about myself after the fact?

I choose action over the regret of lacking courage.

The Power of Different Perspectives

The panel discussion on brand building and relationships clearly showed that although we all live in our own bubbles, we can get along great by exchanging experiences. It's refreshing to hear different viewpoints on the same tools we use daily in IT and business.

A bit blurry, but it’s all about the memories and the energy at LinkedIn Local Warsaw! :)

Networking is Key

The most valuable part of these events is the people. The opportunity to have meaningful face-to-face conversations and exchange insights with people from completely different industries (and sometimes even from your own company!) is the fuel for growth.
